Venezuela Seeks Environment Cooperation With Tehran
Talking to Iranian ambassador to Caracas Ahmad Sobhani, Urusio disclosed that she will be surveying the issue in an upcoming meeting with Iranian vice-president and head of the department of the environment Massoumeh Ebtekar in Bali, Indonesia.
Urusio, a member of the Venezuelan women organization's central council, called for closer cooperation in women affairs between the two countries.
She said that closer cooperation by their governments would have remarkable effects on the bilateral struggle against poverty, addiction and abuse of women as well as in raising the level of proficiency and education of women of both sides.
The minister also expressed appreciation for Tehran's stance in the failed coup and recent disturbance in Venezuela.
For his part, Sobhani announced Iran's readiness to sign further agreements on environment cooperation with the Venezuelan government.
